When I was in nursing school, I was the only one providing for myself while managing an intensive program across the state line that technically didn't allow us to work. I had to work anyway. And I know firsthand what it feels like when money comes in already spoken for before it even lands.

Past-due bills absorb it. Savings disappear one expense at a time. You're doing everything you can think of just to keep things from going further sideways, and most of that activity is driven by pressure, which means a lot of it isn't aligned with your energy or your purpose.

That's the second stage of what I now call the Unstable Income Cycle (and why I started this business). Money pressure arrives, frantic activity follows, revenue rises temporarily, exhaustion sets in, visibility drops, income drops, and when the next expense comes, the pressure returns and the whole thing starts again.

The cycle keeps repeating because the root cause is energetic, and most business strategies never touch that layer. More offers, better copy, higher output: those are responses to the symptom. What actually interrupts the pattern is working directly with the internal state driving it.
