Pink pink pink, pink moon. 💕🌘

While I was making these mountain-scapes I happened to listen to the legendary Nick Drake and thought I’d create a special design in his honor.

I still remember the feeling I had when I first heard his song on the classic Volkswagen commercial. It opened my ears to his beautiful albums.

Moon mountains are one of my favorite designs to create because they always have their own unique flair. Every time you gaze upon a mountain range you see something slightly different, like it’s a living vision.

Black walnut surprise!

Last October we collected a bucket of black walnuts from the trees in our neighborhood. I wanted to dry them and do some experimenting.

After creating creative storage so they could sit and not be plundered by the local squirrel population, I let them dry out.

I’m finally digging in and boy are they beautiful!

I think keeping the design simple is key. You’ve got to let those natural organic designs speak for themselves.

You’re just being Koi.

It’s been a while so I thought I’d bring back these cute little koi fish.

They utilize the naturally stunning color swirls of yew to create this oddly realistic pattern.

Let me know if this is something you’ll go fishing for and maybe I’ll make more.
