Adopted 🎉

Update: their surgeries went well. Vidal had 5 extractions. He now has 3 teeth left. His blood work showed some kidney disease, so he will need to be monitored in the future with any adopter. My girl Bell had 12 extractions 😞 I am picking them up shortly.

Please send healing thoughts for Vidal today 🙏
After months of waiting, he is finally having his dental today 🎉

Vidal is in good company as my own girl, Bell, is also having a dental.

Vidal is 12 years old & super anxious today.
Bell will be 10 yrs old in April & has a heart murmur.

I know they're both in good hands at Homeward Bound Vet today 💕

Stay tuned for updates on Vidal & reach out with any adoption interest. Thank you!

A Miracle for Pixie: From Rescue to Recovery 💕

They say good things come to those who wait, and Pixie is the living proof.

For months, Pixie waited for a home but was passed over by every potential adopter. We used to wonder why—she’s sweet, resilient, and soulful. Now we know: she was simply waiting for the perfect family.

She finally found them, and the connection was instant. But just as Pixie was settling into her forever home, her family received some devastating news. Pixie needed a double hip replacement.

While many would have seen the "tens of thousands of dollars" price tag and walked away, Pixie’s family didn't blink. They chose her, and they are sticking by her. But a bill this size is a mountain for anyone to climb alone.

Time for a Post-Holiday "Re-Gifting"! 🎁

Let’s be honest—Christmas is over, and some of those gifts were... choices. We’ve all been there! So, instead of cluttering your house, why not clear your conscience and help a dog get some bionic hips?

Did your son really need that first car? Walking is great exercise! It builds character. Plus, gas prices are a nightmare. Donate the "clunker fund" to Pixie instead.

Is that Louis Vuitton handbag just not "you"? It’s okay, we won't tell! If the leather is clashing with your soul, trade the luxury for a wagging tail.

Did you get a gym membership you’ll never use? Cancel it! Save the monthly fee and help Pixie do the running for both of you.

Every dollar goes directly toward ensuring Pixie can live a pain-free life, chasing balls and lounging on the couch without a care in the world.

How to Help:

You can donate via the GoFundMe link below, OR you can make a tax-deductible donation through Humphrey House. We will ensure every cent is forwarded to Pixie’s adopters for her surgery.

Thank you all for being part of Pixie’s village. It took a long time for her to find her way home—let’s make sure she can stay there comfortably for years to come! 🐾

Adopted 🎊

🎄 A Special Christmas Gift For Coco! 🎄

This Christmas, while everyone else was unwrapping toys and treats, 12-year-old Coco received the best gift of all: Freedom from the cone!

After undergoing surgery two weeks ago to have her eye removed, our brave little warrior took off her cone today & is officially available for adoption. She is feeling lighter, brighter, and is finally ready to find her forever lap just in time for the new year.

Coco is an 8 lb Morkie with a heart of gold and a resilient spirit. Despite her recent surgery and her "senior" status, she has a lot of love left to give.

Health Status: Coco has a known heart murmur; however, it is stable and she does not require any medication at this time.

Personality: She is a true companion dog. Her favorite place in the world is right next to her human.

Special Needs: Coco struggles with separation anxiety. She will cry when left alone, as she just wants to know her person is safe. Because of this, she needs a home where someone is around most of the day (perfect for retirees or those who work from home!).

Is Your Home Her "Forever" Home?

Coco is looking for a quiet, predictable environment where she can spend her golden years being pampered. If you have a soft spot for seniors and a couch that’s looking a little empty, Coco might be your perfect match.

Location: Humphrey House Rescue – Abingdon, MD (Harford County)

Inquiries: Please message us directly with any questions or to arrange a meeting.

From all of us at Humphrey House, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season.

Let’s help Coco make 2026 her best year yet!
Please Share! Even if you can’t adopt, one share could lead Coco to the person she’s been waiting for. 🐾
