Chairweavings
My Chairweavings story...
My chair weaving adventure began while searching for a solution to the worn out rush seats on two of my dining room chairs. I fell in love with the look and the process! Since finishing my own chairs I’ve rescued, refinished and woven dozens of chairs. Some are colorful, some are neutral... BUT each is unique! I love designing custom chairs for gifts or to fit individual

Life has been a bit crazier than usual this year... lots of "life-stuff" happening -- mostly good with a few challenges thrown in. As a result, I've neglected posting here. Meanwhile, I've been doing my best to keep up with my Etsy shop... Fall is definitely upon us -- haven't we had the most glorious fall weather this year?? And the holidays will be here before we know it!
So, here's a little update... I still have pumpkins available in a variety of colors: tans, browns, greens, gold, cream and white. My snowman inventory is a little smaller this year, but I have listings in almost all the colors plus a few NEW Christmas Limited Editions that just listed yesterday. (see photos below).
I'm enjoying making lots of memory keepsake orders (ornaments, pillows and more) and will welcome orders until early November for Christmas delivery.

Happy Fall everyone!

'tis the season... for Keepsake Memory orders - these vibrant, colorful blouses were made into two pillow covers. Can't you just imagine what a joyful, FUN person wore these? I hope the pillow covers bring back lots of happy memories for this family!

Keepsake Memory orders for holiday gifts are starting to come in. This past week's work was one of the biggest projects I've undertaken... twelve pieced and quilted pillow cases made from a beloved grandmother's clothing to be gifted to each of her grandchildren.
Quilting with clothing can be challenging -- well-loved items are often worn and thin -- OR (as was the case here) made from a variety of different weight fabrics -- some quite stretchy. This project required hours and hours of cutting, applying fusible interfacing and then more cutting before sewing the first stitch.
A labor of love. I hope these special pillow cases will bring sweet, comforting memories to all who receive them.
