UPDATE: Chico was adopted to a wonderful bird-loving and experienced home. Thank you everyone for your kind wishes!

Chico (a Lovebird) has a sad story: His owners have had him for all eleven years of his life, loved him, and took such good care of him. They are having to move into assisted living and the facility does not allow pets. This is heart breaking for his owners and Chico. Chico is now at the shelter, his owners have brought all of his food, his cage, and several other items to give to the adopters of Chico. The bird loving community is so generous and we are hoping for their help to find Chico his soft gentle place to land. He is used to a quiet gentle home where he was able to get a lot of attention and love.
