Virunga Rangers on gorilla patrol last week discovered that female mountain gorilla Kagofero, of the Mapuwa family group, had recently given birth to a new baby. This is Virunga’s first known mountain gorilla birth this year and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see the population of these magnificent creatures continuing to grow.
