One financial principle I had to learn the hard way is the the principle of Delayed Gratification and using it to scale up a business.

Now, when you start up a business and you begin to make some profit, it's exhilarating....it's almost like you just got a breakthrough especially since its something you have never done before.

There is always a passive feeling that the money will keep on coming so it's okay to just enjoy the profits these first time.

You'll even tell yourself, you deserve it and "life shouldn't be that hard". You'll justify every reason for spending that money on yourself and not reinvesting into the business.

When the business has run out of fuel and you either need to scale up or sustain the business and the sales are no longer coming like the used to, you panic.

Now one principle you need to embrace as a bizpreneur especially at the initial stage of your business is DELAYED GRATIFICATION.

Yes you deserve to enjoy the profit but you can actually wait a while and put systems in place for the money to keep coming in so that even when you eventually sit to enjoy yourself, you have no fear because the money is being made almost immediately.

This means ploughing back the profit and growing the business untill it can sustain itself.

This involves separating the business from you and letting business money remain business money.
I previously talked about paying yourself at least 10%. You can tailor your lifestyle to fit this 10% and plough the rest back into the business to nurture and grow it.

One of the most delicate periods of the business where utmost discipline is required is the initial stage...This is where you build discipline and lay the right foundation for growth, expansion and constant inflow of cash. This is where you check expenses and increase profit

Delayed Gratification is not punishment, it's a precautionary measure.

Work first, grow the tree, have it bear lots of fruits plant more trees and then sit down to enjoy harvest all year round.

Just imagine grabbing people's attention and keeping it on your status...

3. Social Proof in form of testimonials, reviews can increase sales conversation by over 200%...yeeesss.
When people see it's working for others, they are more likely to buy and experience the magic too.

Why do you think scammers use different accounts to give false testimonials on a scam post???

4. Personalized follow up messages and emails increase the customer's likelihood to by by up to 30% because it makes them feel special and builds better relationship and connection...so stop the "hey guys", "hi peeps", " hi everyone" in personal messages

5. The Rule of Seven suggests that a prospect needs to see or hear your marketing message at least 7 times before taking action. Don't joke with consistency.
In running paid ads use retargeting strategies to get people to keep coming back to your website....follow them everywhere till they buy.😁😁

6. The human brain processes images 60,000 times faster than text. So use compelling images to convey your message quicker...

I use this often and it works so well.

7. The average person's attention span is now shorter than the standard of 8 secs so your content must be compelling from the first 5 seconds.

Use compelling hooks that grab attention.

8. Over 80% of customers trust online reviews as much as personal recommendation...so get feed backs and reviews from clients and use them!!!

9. Businesses that reply messages within an hour are 7 times more likely to qualify their prospects and go ahead to close Sales than those who reply hours and days later.

10. When running paid ads, ensure your website respond quickly, a 1 second delay in loading your webpage can cause a 7% reduction in conversion. The human patience when it comes to getting information to make a buying decision keeps getting shorter by the day.
