Friends, I’m personally involved in this fundraiser to support GBV survivors in Uganda.
Even $5 or sharing helps save lives. πŸ’œ
πŸ‘‡

Hello Friends,
Survivors of Gender-Based Violence in Jinja, Uganda often don’t get help in time because services are scattered. These delays have always led to HIV infection, unwanted pregnancy, disability, severe trauma, and even death.

We are raising funds to build a One-Stop GBV Crisis Center where survivors can access Timely, Effective & Coordinated Survivor Centered Services.

To kick-start this work, we are seeking 200 people to give just $5 to raise $1,000 in 10 days. This first $1,000 will help prepare survivor care spaces, support emergency response, and build momentum for larger support.

This campaign is hosted by Group 36 (U.S. 501(c)(3)), making donations secure and tax-deductible, while implementation happens on the ground in Uganda.

The Romic Care Foundation, together with our partner charity organizations, proudly hosted a powerful Skilling Summit in Jinja City!
We inspired young women to embrace hands-on skills for a better future and educated them on protecting themselves from HIV/AIDS. Every step we take is aimed at empowering and uplifting the next generation.

🌍 Every Step Saves a Life: πŸ’œ
The Problem
In Jinja and surrounding districts in Uganda, over 50% of Survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) do not access timely, integrated, and effective support services. Hence often forced to navigate a fragmented support system moving from police stations to hospitals and back, then to legal offices and so forth frequently alone and without psychosocial support. This disjointed approach not only retraumatizes survivors but also severely delays justice and healing. These delays can be even fatal, a case in point is a 16years old girl who was Pressured into an unsafe abortion, sought help but instead of urgent care, she was delayed by broken systems, stigma, and fear. By the time she reached a hospital, it was too late. Her death could have been prevented if a One-Stop Crisis Centre had existed.
Our Solution
Romic Care Foundation (ROCAF) is building a One-Stop GBV Crisis Centre, a safe Place open 24/7 where survivors will find: βœ… Urgent medical care within hours, not daysβœ… Psychosocial counseling for healingβœ… Temporary safe shelter and protectionβœ… Legal aid to pursue justiceβœ… Reintegration support to rebuild lives
πŸ‘‰ No more running in circles. One door. One team. Immediate help.
The Campaign:
We’re inviting you to turn solidarity into action:
πŸƒ Run/Walk 4 km in honor of survivors
πŸ’° Donate any amount you can
πŸ‘₯ Nominate 4 friends to join
πŸ“² Share your photo/video with .

πŸ‘‰ This challenge will culminate in a Big Community Run/Walk on 13/DEC/2025 which is the grand finale bringing together all people who have been doing the in their Homes, schools, churches, mosques, businesses, WhatsApp groups or companies to break the silence on GBV.
Our Goal
We aim to raise $178,900 by 30th/April/ 2026, to run the Centre for its first year, launching a 5-year pilot project to serve thousands of survivors.
