Russia – Ukraine War Updates: Key Developments as of July 2, 2026
A total of 259 combat engagements were recorded over the past 24 hours.
Yesterday, Russian forces launched two missile strikes using two missiles, carried out 79 air strikes, dropping 240 guided aerial bombs (KABs). In addition, the enemy deployed 9,463 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,924 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 36 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force, Missile Forces, and Artillery of the Defense Forces struck five enemy troop concentration areas and one command post.

Russia – Ukraine War Updates: Key Developments as of June 30, 2026
Today is the 1,588th day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Over the past 24 hours, 227 combat engagements were recorded along the front line.
Yesterday, Russian forces launched two missile strikes using three missiles and carried out 78 airstrikes, dropping 237 guided aerial bombs (KABs). In addition, the invaders deployed 9,618 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,835 attackson Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 35 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
In Sumy Oblast, Russian forces carried out airstrikes on the areas of Sumy, Luzhky, and Sukhodil, while the town of Hlukhiv was targeted with a missile strike.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force, Missile Forces, and Artillery struck 11 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, one artillery system, two UAV command posts, and three logistics and supply depots.

Ukraine Strikes Crimean Energy Bridge, Russian S-300/S-400 Position Near Kerch
The Crimean Energy Bridge was reportedly struck overnight as fire engulfed the Kuban transition station, while Ukrainian sources say a Russian S-300/S-400 air defense position near Kerch was also hit.
A key component of the so-called Crimean Energy Bridge caught fire following an overnight strike on Russia’s Taman Peninsula, while a Russian S-300/S-400 air defense system near Kerch was also reportedly hit, according to Ukrainian sources.
The monitoring Telegram channel Crimean Wind and Serhii Sternenko, an advisor to Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, reported that the attack targeted the Kuban transition station - a critical facility connecting mainland Russia’s electricity grid with occupied Crimea.
