Dr. Faith Brebnor

gh Composite School, where she was successful academically while playing the Steel Pan and joining the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force. Faith later ventured to the USA, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Neuroscience (the study of the brain), a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree and a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences. After completing her studies, Dr. Faith returned to Tobago in 2007 to give back. She worked with the THA on the popular wellness programme “Know Your Numbers”. She was also instrumental in the development of the 2012 Tobago Health Needs Assessment and 2013 Strategic Plan for her Division. She was the THA’s representative on national, regional and international conferences. Though Dr. Brebnor has a strong research and policy background, her passion is education. She lectured at various tertiary institutions in the areas of Environmental Health, Occupational Safety and Health, Psychology, and a wide range of classes relating to medicine. She also provides life skills training to schools, churches and other community organizations. Dr. Faith continues to give back to the community that raised her. She is on the board of several organizations that train and empower young people. Dr. Faith (with the help of a few very close friends) founded the “Imani bet Knesset Foundation” a non-governmental organization that works closely with special communities, including people living with HIV and families dealing with fertility issues. Dr. Faith understands the need for holistic development for the people of Tobago. She has served as the Minority Councillor from 2017 to 2021, and the Assemblyman for Goodwood / Belle Garden West for the short January to December 2021 period. She was successful at the December 2021 election and now serves as the THA Representative for the newly configured district known as Belle Garden / Glamorgan. Finally, she is the Deputy Chief Secretary and Secretary of Health, Wellness and Social Protection.
