Port expansion project in Conakry - Guinea

Clutter sucktion dredger about to start dredging.

Having to wait for hours to import P6. You are not alone..
Solution..Do the following:
1. Go to ther xer file and right click it.
2. Open with note pad.
3. Delete the part of the text mostly under "R" which have foreign and unreadable characters.
4. Go back to file and save the work in word pad.
5. Close the note pad.
6. You can now import and it should be immediate and quick.
7. Enjoy...

MS Project Unable to import XMP document exported from P6.
Solution:
Make sure original duration values in p6 are normal. If they arent, Ms project wont be able to import the exported XML document.
Try using global change. "Original duration = Remaining duration"

Just passed the PMP exams yesterday (21.02.2015)

To open P7 or versions higher than P6 with P6 version of primavera, do the following.
1. Right click your un opened p6 file.
2. Choose open with text.
3. Change the text "7" with your version of p6 say "6".
4. Close your file. and reopen it in primavera.
