Like in every Jewish town there’s a special atmosphere, in the Jewish town of djerba that’s even more original and exiting
Everyone prepare his חלות (bread), then take it to the community oven to bake it and then come to pick it up before Shabbat when it’s ready.
Not to forget the חמין של שבת we don’t cook it at home like everyone in the world does, we do it like in the olden days and we put our חמין in the community oven before שבת and on Shabbat lunch we pick it
