The LDC Group, represented at the 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, called for urgency in advancing climate negotiations that respond to the needs of countries on the frontline of the climate crisis. Appreciation to host Denmark, together withthe COP30 and incoming COP31 Presidencies for their leadership and engagement.

The ICJ Advisory Opinion on climate change stands as a powerful affirmation of international law, climate justice, science, the collective commitment to keep the 1.5°C goal alive, and the responsibility of states to protect people from the escalating climate crisis.
