[ “บูเดจิเก” อาหารประจำชาติที่มาจากความเจ็บปวดในช่วงสงครามเกาหลี]

สงครามเกาหลี (Korean War) เป็นความขัดแย้งทางทหารระหว่างเกาหลีเหนือและเกาหลีใต้ที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงปีค.ศ. 1950-1953 การสู้รบเริ่มขึ้นเมื่อเกาหลีเหนือที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสหภาพโซเวียตและจีนบุกเข้าโจมตีเกาหลีใต้ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสหประชาชาติและสหรัฐอเมริกา สงครามนี้ส่งผลให้มีการสูญเสียชีวิตและทรัพยากรอย่างมหาศาลและสร้างความเดือดร้อนให้กับประชาชนเกาหลีทั้งสองฝั่ง🔥
เพื่อรำลึกถึงความเสียสละของทหารและประชาชนที่เสียชีวิตจากสงครามเกาหลี เกาหลีใต้ได้จัดให้วันที่ 6 มิถุนายนของทุกปีเป็นวันรำลึกถึงสงครามเกาหลี (Korea Memorial Day) ในวันนี้มีการจัดพิธีเคารพและแสดงความเคารพต่อวีรชนและผู้ที่เสียสละชีวิตในสงคราม โดยมีการจัดพิธีที่สุสานแห่งชาติในเมืองโซล (Seoul National Cemetery) และมีกิจกรรมอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องทั่วประเทศ🤍
นอกจากนี้ยังมีอีกหนึ่งเมนูอาหารที่มาจากสงครามนี้ นั่นก็คือ “บูเดจิเก” (Budae Jjigae /부대찌개) หรือที่คนไทยเรียกว่า “หม้อไฟเกาหลี” 🍜หนึ่งในเมนูยอดฮิตในใจของใครหลายๆ คนโดยเฉพาะแฟนๆ ซีรีส์ที่ดูซีรีส์ทีไรอยากจะกินหม้อไฟเกาหลีทุกที
“บูเดจิเก” เป็นเมนูที่เกิดมาในช่วงของสงครามเกาหลีระหว่างเกาหลีเหนือและเกาหลีใต้ ช่วงปีค.ศ. 1950 เนื่องจากสงครามส่งผลกระทบต่อการขาดแคลนอาหารโดยตรงทำให้ทหารนำวัตถุดิบ เช่น ไส้กรอกและแฮมจากฐานทัพสหรัฐฯ ซึ่งเป็นพันธมิตรมาใช้ผัดรวมกับผัดกับกะหล่ำปลีและหัวหอมแต่ไม่ถูกปากคนเกาหลีเท่าไหร่ ต่อมาเลยมีการเติมกิมจิเเละพริกเเดงกลายเป็นซุปรสเผ็ดตามความชอบของเกาหลี🌶️
“บูเดจิเก” จึงกลายเป็นเมนูฟิวชั่นจานแรกของเกาหลีที่เกิดมาจากสงครามเกาหลีนั่นเอง โดยคำว่า บูเด 부대 หมายถึงทหารสหรัฐฯ ที่ประจำการในเกาหลี💂🏻‍♂️ ส่วนคำว่าจิเก 찌개 หมายถึงเครื่องเคียงที่ทำโดยการต้มน้ำซุปกับเนื้อสัตว์ เต้าหู้ ผัก แล้วปรุงรส ซึ่งเมนูนี้นับเป็นอาหารประจำชาติที่ได้รับความนิยมอย่างมากทั้งในประเทศเกาหลีและประเทศไทย

The Korean War was a fight between North Korea and South Korea from 1950 to 1953. North Korea, helped by the Soviet Union and China, attacked South Korea, which was supported by the United Nations and the United States. This war caused a lot of deaths and suffering for the people on both sides.🔥
Every year on June 6th, South Korea honors the soldiers and civilians who died in the Korean War. This day is called Korea Memorial Day. On this day, people hold ceremonies to remember and respect the heroes who gave their lives. These ceremonies are usually held at the Seoul National Cemetery, with many related activities happening across the country.🤍
In addition, there is a popular dish that originated from this war: Budae Jjigae (부대찌개), also known as "Army Stew,"🍜. This dish has become a favorite for many, especially for fans of Korean dramas who often crave Korean hot pot while watching their favorite series.
"Budae Jjigae" actually originated during the Korean War in the 1950s. The war led to food shortages, prompting soldiers to improvise with ingredients like sausages and ham from U.S. military bases. They mixed these with Korean veggies, but it didn't taste quite right. So, they added spicy stuff like kimchi and red pepper paste to make it better.🌶️
"Budae Jjigae" thus became a fusion dish born out of necessity during the Korean War. The name itself reflects its origin, with "Budae" meaning "army base" in Korean, referring to the U.S. soldiers stationed in Korea💂🏻‍♂️, and "Jjigae" meaning "stew" or "soup," signifying the cooking method of boiling ingredients like meat, tofu, and vegetables in a flavorful broth. This dish is now beloved not only in Korea but also in Thailand, where it has gained significant popularity.
