THANK YOU FOR 50,000 SUBSCRIBERS!
I started making videos on social media in 2019 to inspire the world to communicate better.
It's crazy that 6 years later, I'm half way to the 100k mark. Consistency pays off for sure.
It's funny how I'm sitting in a room on my last day in Bangkok, Thailand as I'm writing this after being in Southeast Asia for 5-6 weeks.
I never thought I could have this life where I can just travel the world & coach my awesome clients while I explore what's out there.
Live life on your own terms. Unapologetically. I'm glad I learned that lesson early, and I hope you do the same too in your life. Keep doing amazing things. Life's too short to do anything else. :)
Onward and upward to 100k! 🩶

I posted my first YouTube video on January 20th, 2019 (2 years + 4 months ago). I remember how stupid I felt taking out my phone and just recording myself talk alone in my basement.
My mom looked at me a few times and was like what are you doing in the basement??? Fun times explaining what I was doing to her lol (she's probably my biggest supporter now though haha).
I started MasterTalk, really to just share some public speaking tips I had learned coaching a lot my university friends for a business competition I used to help run and it's kind of crazy that the YouTube channel hit 10,000 subscribers today.
I just wanted to make this post to inspire a few of you who have some crazy ideas to just go for it. I was literally a 22 year old kid recording with a phone, never edited a single video for the first year and was able to achieve this milestone.
Go after it, we have one life anyways, so spend it doing something you truly want to be working on.
Thanks to everyone who supported me on this journey. I couldn't have done it without the 100's of people who generously shared my content and helped me push it to the level it is today.
More to come.
Much love everyone,
Brenden
WHY DISCIPLINE 💨 MATTERS.
You probably won't believe me, but I did martial arts for 6 YEARS from the ages of 12 to 18.
That experience helped me so much with public speaking and communication because having a consistent practice schedule is key to be being successful.
If you want to get better at anything, you need to practice even on days you don't want to, that's what separates the best from the rest, so find ways to develop that discipline.

HOW TO KNOW IF SOMEONE IS 🤓 SMART.
Everyone says it and it’s worth repeating; surrounding yourself with people who are better than you will just make you better, period. But, the challenge becomes, how do you figure out if someone is smart or not?
That’s one I’ve asked myself for a long time and I’ll give you my thoughts on this.
All of the geniuses I’ve met in my life share one thing in common: an understanding that they know nothing. What do I mean here?
Anyone who’s really smart understands that they can’t possibly know everything in the Universe, there’s too much knowledge in the world to know even a small fraction of it.
This attitude forces them to ask more questions than give answers, to seek understanding rather than approval, to find the truth instead of assuming they already have it.
Generally speaking, even if smart people might have strong opinions about certain topics, in general, those opinions are in small number.
How can you possibly be absolutely right about every single topic in the world?
Peter Thiel, I find is a great example of one such person where, before he ever gives an opinion, he explains each side and why they all believe what they do and goes on to explain his points, which is very fascinating and frankly unique.
Most people out there aren’t willing to hear the other side, use emotions to make decisions or pretend that they’re the expert on everything.
Avoid these types of people (or better yet), try to understand how they think and avoid the pitfalls that they make in their thinking patterns.
Let me know in the comments what you think about this and what qualities the smartest people you’ve ever met have.

HOW TO PRESENT IN GROUPS.
The key is to leverage strengths to win. If you want to be the best as a team, it's your job to figure out what you're good at and more importantly, what you need to work on.
The key is simple, as long as you play to each other's strengths and know how to use them, you'll always come up on top.
