40 (Accelerated Secondary Education Program) teachers are undergoing training on ASEP Curriculum kick off in Yei Town.
CSI under the P2E consortium is implementing in 4 Secondary Schools in Yei including paying incentives to 10 teachers per School, training them on curriculum and supporting teaching and learning in ASEP and regular classes.

(Warrap State)

Our Field team in Twic, Manager, of 's (Warrap State), Site , and (CED) jointly conducted this week a retrofit assessment in 13 Schools that are supported by the and that we are implementing the project in.
The main objective of the assessment was to the physical conditions of the 13 schools, 5 schools and conduct meetings on the selected schools for the retrofitting.
We thank (SCI), (GCF), for (GPE) and the of (GOSS) through the of and for the Partnership, Funding and technical support to our team in Warrap State.

In fulfillment of our motto "If you see a need, take the lead", we have seen a need to revamp and revamped the access road to our office in the Pakwau area of Bor town.
CSI staff in Bor and Residents near our office expressed gratitude and happiness for the great work the organization is doing.

We have conducted two-day Community Engagement meetings with Communities of and of County on the 30th April and 1st May 2026. This came after the of the (PEP) in Tonj South County of Warrap State this Month.
The engagement meeting which brought the Education Authorities in the County, Payam, the Local Chiefs and Majok-wut together with CSI field officer for PEP, resulted in the identification of #2 ( ) of and With 3 incentivised facilitators each.
The main objective of the project is to take Education to the Children who are out of school in the cattle camps through the "Alternative Education System" (AES).

As we commence implementation for the "Pathways to Empowerment (P2E) for youth in South Sudan project in Yei", we have initiated engagement activities with Yei River County authorities, Community leaders and head teachers of the targeted schools.
The purpose of these engagements is to:
1. Introduce the P2E project and its objectives to key local stakeholders.
2. Strengthen collaboration with county authorities to ensure effective implementation of youth empowerment initiatives.
3. Gain support and buy-in from authorities and the Education leadership to facilitate smooth project activities and participation of all stakeholders including students.
4. Identify potential challenges and opportunities in schools and the broader community to enhance project impact.
NB. These project inception engagements are critical to the success of in Yei River County and all locations where P2E is being implemented across South Sudan, as they lay the foundation for constructive partnerships and effective implementation of project activities.
Community Support Initiative -CSI is in partnership with Windle Trust International (WTI) in the implementation of the P2E in Yei under consortium lead of War child Canada with funding from Mastercard Foundation.

Congratulations to the people in Yei and Tony South Counties, We have 2 new signings to support growing needs in Education and livelihoods, the P2E (for Yei) and the PEP (for Tonj South).
P2E stands for Pathway to Empowerment for youth.
PEP- stands for Pastoralists Education Program.

CSI Bor Field Manager and Education officer visited the newly appointed Director of Bor County Education Department, Ustaz. Gabriel Panchol Anyang.
The visit aim was to give a congratulations message from CSI for his re- assignment as the Director of Bor County Education Department and to
also brief him on the presence and roles being played by CSI in Jonglei State particularly in Bor County.
Among the items discussed were the challenges facing Education particularly Schools that CSI support among others and ways to overcome them.
On the list of challenges were the shortage of teachers in schools, lack of feeding programs, and the delay of teachers salaries among others.
Gabriel, a renown teacher promised to join hands with partners and work to improve education in the County.
NB. CSI is engaged in actions that encourage interaction with others to exchange information and develop professional contacts.

We visited the Ministry of Education, Central Equatoria State, to brief the officials on CSI activities being implemented in the State and to formally share our organization & project files with them.
The visit was cordial, encouraging and bonding for it enhances cooperation and networking among the stakeholders.
