Jane Goodall is a British scientist and conservationist best known for her pioneering research on wild chimpanzees and her lifelong advocacy for wildlife and environmental protection.

She began her groundbreaking work in 1960 at what is now Gombe National Park, where she discovered that chimpanzees use tools, have complex social structures, and display emotions such as joy, grief, and empathy. These findings reshaped global understanding of animal behavior and challenged long-held scientific beliefs about the difference between humans and animals.
