🛑 BREAKING: Governor James Koang Requests Change of Ulang Oil Revenue Account Signatories

The Governor of Upper Nile State, , has officially requested the Bank of South Sudan to change the signatories of the Ulang Community Development Committee’s 3% oil revenue account.
In a letter dated May 21, the governor nominated new officials including Molana Bol Puot Yout (Deputy Chairperson), Rangdit Kiir Rangdit (Treasurer), and Rev. Thomas Tut Muon (Secretary General) to manage the community development funds.
The 3% oil revenue fund is allocated for development projects and essential services in oil-producing areas of Ulang.
Governor Koang urged the central bank to fast-track the changes and support the newly appointed committee members in taking over their duties.

Suspended Petroleum Minister Puot Kang Chol has alleged before the court that he and other detainees were subjected to humiliating treatment during escorts from the Blue House to court proceedings.
According to Puot, the vehicle transporting them reportedly had “7 Aklab” written on it, while NSS officers allegedly referred to them as “7 dogs” during transportation to court.
Puot described the treatment as degrading, disrespectful, and inhumane during his testimony before the Special Court.

🛑 BREAKING: Defense Undersecretary Gen. Gregory Deng Kuach Accuses Martin Elia of Sabotaging Peace

South Sudan’s Undersecretary at the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Gen. Gregory Deng Kuach, has publicly accused senior government official Martin Elia Lomuro of being a “peace spoiler” and “saboteur” responsible for delaying the implementation of peace agreements in South Sudan.
In a strongly worded statement seen by Lich Lich TV, Gen. Gregory alleged that Martin Elia repeatedly frustrated security arrangements, obstructed transitional reforms, and weakened public trust in the peace process.
He further claimed that Elia deliberately misused the authority and name of the leadership to advance his own agenda, resulting in divisions, corruption, suffering, and loss of confidence among regional and international partners.
Gen. Gregory also recalled a past incident in which Martin Elia allegedly humiliated the late Dr. John Garang by throwing rotten eggs at him during a public gathering.
The senior official declared that “every man must carry his own cross,” adding that there would be “no more cover for anyone” accused of sabotaging peace efforts.
He concluded by vowing to continue leading internal peace initiatives and holding accountable all individuals he described as peace spoilers.

🛑 BREAKING: Council of Ministers Approves New Governance and Service Delivery Reforms

The Council of Ministers, chaired by His excellency President Kiir Mayardit, has approved new policies aimed at strengthening governance, improving public service delivery, and advancing reforms under the Revitalized Peace Agreement.
The Cabinet also endorsed new regulations on government vehicle management and approved reforms to improve the national prison feeding system through a centralized procurement and monitoring framework under the Ministry of Interior.
In addition, ministers passed the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs’ 2025–2030 strategic policy framework to guide institutional activities and improve efficiency in governance.

Suspended Petroleum Minister Puot Kang Chol told a Special Court on Friday, May 22, that senior government officials were responsible for triggering the Nasir conflict in Upper Nile State.
During court proceedings, Puot reportedly named top officials including Benjamin Bol Mel, Martin Elia Lomuro, Chol Thon Balok, Paul Nang Majok, and Michael Makuei Lueth, accusing them of fueling tensions that led to violence in Nasir.
