Arop Mathew Daniel

enFuture South Sudan, an organization he co-founded to address climate change and promote sustainability. Arop is also a climate change advocate, serving as a 13th UNESCO Youth Forum delegate for Sudan, where he represented the voice of young environmental leaders. His "Greening School" project promotes climate readiness by integrating sustainability into school curriculums. In addition to his environmental work, Arop is an advocate for disability inclusion, working with organizations like YGlobal South Sudan to promote the rights and empowerment of persons with disabilities. He has been involved in various initiatives such as the Together For Inclusion (TOFI) project, which supports the economic empowerment of people with disabilities through entrepreneurship and vocational training. Arop has a keen interest in creating inclusive spaces and ensuring equal opportunities for all, particularly through human rights advocacy, economic empowerment, and inclusive education. Beyond his activism, Arop also has experience in leadership development and youth advocacy. He plays a key role in YMCA South Sudan and has worked with international partners to promote digital safety, advocacy through social media, and transformative masculinity. His multifaceted efforts reflect his vision of a more equitable and sustainable world. Growing up in a refugee camp in Uganda, Arop overcame numerous challenges and now uses his experiences to inspire others. As a Wikimedian and fact-checker, he works to promote accurate and reliable information, particularly on climate change, human rights, and community development. Arop's work in South Sudan, both as a climate activist and disability inclusion advocate, continues to shape the landscape for a more inclusive and sustainable future. Through his leadership, he empowers marginalized communities, ensuring that no one is left behind in the fight for a better world.
