Dr. Manytuil Wecjang, Governor of Unity State, visited the Protection of Civilians (POC) site in Bentiu, where he received an overwhelming welcome and celebration from POC communities

A major shake-up has hit South Sudan’s oil sector this evening!

Eng. Diew Charow has been removed as Vice President of SPOC and replaced by Chuol Makuach Khor.

Beny Ngor has also been removed as Vice President of GPOC and replaced by Sabir Ajak.

The changes mark a dramatic realignment in the leadership of two of South Sudan’s biggest oil operating companies.

We are pleased to announce that Hon. Sultan Lam Tungwar Kueigwong is set to be appointed as the Governor of Unity State Bentiu.

His Excellency President Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit has recognized Hon. Sultan Lam's exceptional competence and unwavering loyalty to the SPLM Party.

This appointment will marks a significant step forward, heralding a new era of leadership and positive change for the State.

The esteemed Former Governor Dr. Manytuil Wecjang has played a pivotal role in nurturing a new generation of aspiring leaders who are dedicated to effecting positive change in South Sudan. Some of these remarkable individuals include Former First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and Planning in National level previously Hon. Malual Tap Diu, who also served as Minister of Finance and Economic Planning in Unity State Bentiu under the esteemed guidance of Former Governor Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wecjang. Hon. Malual Tap Diu was subsequently elevated to the national level by His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayirdit.

Additionally, Hon. Lam Tungwar Kuegwong currently holds the position of Undersecretary for the Ministry of Energy and Dams at the national level. Hon. Lam Tungwar Kuegwong initially served as Minister of Land and Public Utilities under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Manytuil Wecjang.

Furthermore, Hon. Samaan Chotjier currently serves as the political adviser for Unity State Bentiu and holds the esteemed position of State Secretary General of the SPLM Party in Unity State Bentiu. He too is a testament to the profound impact of Dr. Manytuil Wecjang's mentorship.

Dr. Manytuil Wecjang's commendable efforts in identifying and nurturing these promising leaders for the betterment of South Sudan, particularly Unity State Bentiu, deserve recognition.
