BREAKING: United States Withdraws from World Health Organization

The White House announced that the United States has formally withdrawn from the World Health Organization (WHO), effective today, ending a 77-year membership in the global health

According to the statement, the decision fulfills a commitment made by President Donald Trump under an executive order signed one year ago.

The administration cited the WHO’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as what it described as an ongoing lack of reform, accountability, and transparency within the organization.
