At least 12 teachers arrested and some on run, as Northern Barh-elgazal State's ministry of education crackdown Teachers'union.

Northern Barh-elgazal State's teachers' union boss and 11 other arrested following alleged embezzlement of teachers' salaries.

Source familiar to the incident said that, the state minister of education and director General had embezzled the salaries for four months.

John Garang Deng, member of volunteers teachers has reported to this publication that, the teachers'union has in recent days filed a case against ministry of education and the response had lead to great confrontation between Director General in the ministry of education and teachers'union.

"Yesterday in the morning hours, the director General in the state ministry of education had fought with teachers because of four months salaries pending" Garang said.
