TARDO-Somalia actively participated in the Monthly Protection Cluster Meeting on Wednesday, 27 August 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ministry of Women Meeting Hall, South West State (SWS).

The meeting focused on:
• Updates on the general humanitarian situation
• Gap analysis on protection service mapping
• Progress reports by Areas of Responsibility (AORs)
• Any other business

TARDO remains committed to promoting effective coordination and enhancing protection services for vulnerable communities across SWS, Somalia.

TARDO-Somalia is pleased to have participated in a four-day capacity building workshop facilitated by the National Education Cluster, held at the UNICEF Compound, Main Conference Hall, Isha, Baidoa District, South West State of Somalia.

The workshop aimed to strengthen skills, enhance coordination, and improve education response in emergencies. We are proud to have been part of this initiative and look forward to applying the knowledge gained to better serve communities in need.

TARDO Organization is pleased to participate in the upcoming Somalia Humanitarian Forum – CHF 2025, organized by the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA).

This important forum will bring together key stakeholders to discuss the overall humanitarian situation in Somalia. It will be attended by representatives from government institutions, international and local organizations, civil society actors working on humanitarian issues, and donor agencies.The event will take place in Baidoa, the capital of the South West State of Somalia, on Wednesday, 6 August 2025.🌐 www.tardosom.org

As Takulo Relief and Development Organization (TARDO), was honoured to participate in today’s FSC National-Level Partners Meeting, held virtually on 2 July 2025. The meeting was convened by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MoAI), the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA), the Ministry of Livestock, Forestry and Range (MoLFR), and the Food Security Cluster (FSC).

The session brought together national stakeholders, civil society organisations, and humanitarian actors to strengthen coordination on food security, seasonal performance, and safe, accountable programming across Somalia.

Key highlights from the meeting included:

• Opening remarks by MoAI, SODMA, and MoLFR
• Gu Season Review, Deyr Season, and Hagaa Outlook – presented by SWALIM
• Partner Presentation – Human Appeal
• FSC May Response Updates
• Subnational Flood Updates and their impact on food security
• Pilot Initiative – Development of practical tools to integrate PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) into FSC programming for safer humanitarian responses
