Mawco Brings Hope to Bonga Town with Charity Drive
As reported by Salone Jamboree newspaper, the Mawco Organization extended a helping hand to vulnerable children and single parents in Bonga Town, Sierra Leone, on February 14, 2025, through a heartfelt charity initiative. In a community facing economic struggles and harsh conditions, Mawco provided essential school supplies, food, and baby care items to support families in need.
Founder Makuta Aminata Wurie Kamara emphasized that the initiative was not just about material donations but also about restoring hope and empowering the next generation through education. MAWCO participated in the launch of National NGO Week in Sierra Leone on February 22, joining the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, SLANGO, World Vision, and other organizations in a health walk. The Minister highlighted NGOs' vital role in human capacity development and encouraged broader contributions to sustainable growth. MAWCO’s CEO, Madam Makuta Aminata Wurie Kamara, expressed pride in being part of the event and announced donations to underprivileged children and parents. MAWCO remains committed to community development and long-term impact in Sierra Leone.
