Difference between CV and Resume
CV
A CV (Curriculum Vitæ, which means a
course of life in Latin) is an in-depth
document that can be laid out over two or
more pages and it contains a high level of
detail about your achievements, a great deal
more than just a career biography. The CV
covers your education as well as any other
accomplishments like publications, awards,
honors, etc.
Resume
A resume, or résumé, is a concise document
typically not longer than one page as the
intended the reader will not dwell on your
document for very long. The goal of a resume
is to make an individual stand out from the
competition.
The job seeker should adapt the resume
to every position they apply for.
Tips and Guidelines
I hope you are good. Below are few points
using which you can further improve your CV:
1. Always email / share your CV in a .pdf
version. The MS Word version will look/
display differently at the user’s end
depending upon his/her version of the MS

2. Always rename the CV with your name
such as, “Resume_ABC_XYZ”.
3. Your CV should not be more than one
page long. Cut extra spaces and material
that is not needed.
4. Your name is repeating in the address
also. No need for that.
5. No need to give your complete house
address. Just mention Peshwar. Address,
email and phone numbers should be in
one line only.
6. Under education no need to mention
FSc / matric
7. Work Experience and Professional
Experience should be merged.
8. No need to explain what each
organization is. Just mention the name of
the organization, your designation there,
the time frame you worked there and
what you did/achieved while on that role.
Has your CV read by someone whose English
is good? There will be many typos and

* كن مثالاً يُحتذى به، اعلم ما لك، وما عليك جيداً والتزم بهما؛ فلا تتأخر على العمل، ولا تكذب للتغطية على خطأ، لن يجد ضعاف النفوس سبيلاً للإيقاع بك.
