After the Rwandan genocide in 1994, Fred Kasigwa was the only survivor in his family and hence inherited his grandfather's farm. Due to the situation in the country, it was not possible for him to return to the farm. In 2009 Fred decided to use this property to promote reconciliation for good of the local population. With help from Norwegian partners " FRED's FARM" become a reality in 2013
We are empowering to be self-sufficient by:
Creating jobs at Fred's Farm.
Implementing different training programmes related to farming.
Providing land to grow food for those with little or no land of their own.
Implementing a micro finance programme in the nearby Twa village.
