Ultrafitness Performance – Results & Progress: The results are stacking up for the Ultrafitness Performance powered by Spectro.Life project, and the progress our athletes have made speaks for itself. From top-tier preparation to race strategies executed flawlessly, here are some of the team's recent performances: 👇

🏔 Alin Batea set Transgrancanaria Classic as his target race after 6 months of preparation within the project. During this period, he also secured a podium at the EcoTrail Ultramarathon and a win at the HoneyRun Half Marathon, with no setbacks along the way. Although he caught a virus just before the start and faced extremely difficult race conditions (so tough that even the UTMB winner dropped out), Alin managed his effort wisely, moved up steadily through the field, and finished in the top 20 in a highly competitive lineup.

🏃‍♂️ Ionuț Bledea set a massive personal best at the Lisbon Half Marathon, clocking 1:16':22''. A courageous race where he pushed his limits from the very start, and this performance earned him the promotion from Ultrafitness Advanced to Ultrafitness Performance.

🏆 Gabriel Drăgan had held the course record at the Primavera Trail Race Marathon since 2023, when he set the benchmark at 3:50' on a 43 km course with 2000m elevation gain. Coming off a strong preparation period with wins at Omu Marathon and EcoTrail Ultramarathon, Gabi had every reason to believe he could improve on that time. The competition was fierce from the gun, with temperatures at -3°C, but the sudden rise to over 15°C caused many to pay the price for their early efforts. Gabi managed the shift much better, winning the race with an impressive 3:53'. The takeaway: pacing matters—gaining a few seconds early by pushing too hard can lead to losing minutes at the finish.

🔥 Several other athletes in the project used races as tune-ups or tests ahead of their main goal at Istria by UTMB:

• Ciprian Zoicaș – category win, strong time.
• Hodas Erzsébet – scratch podium despite dealing with health issues.
• Károly Csáki – while cruising just above 100-mile race pace, he crossed the finish line in a time similar to previous years when racing at full effort.

All these results make us even more excited for Istria by UTMB, where we'll get to see these athletes perform at their peak.

🇺🇸 Matt Bradner joined the project from the US earlier this year. He already had his sights set on the Mesquite Canyon 50 miles race, and together we fine-tuned a few parameters in his training that made a significant difference. Most importantly, though, was his commitment to process goals alongside race goals. So when the race started in tough, hot conditions, Matt managed his heart rate, nutrition, and pacing strategy carefully, pushing only when it mattered most. The result: a win at the finish line.

👏 Congratulations to all the athletes who trust the guidance they receive to achieve their best possible results.
