Reiki and symbology
People have used symbols as a way of communicating and transmitting power for over thousands of years. Even some primates can communicate using symbols. Symbols can be classified according to the way they convey their information.
Sacred geometry or tattwas are examples of a group of symbols. Their power lies in their form.
Tattwas and, in some ways, mandalas are tools that can help one ground and attain a certain state of consciousness.
Studying and drawing the symbol can stimulate the subconscious and the energy body.
Symbols convey information.
Another category of symbols and objects works under the notion that they can be charged through intention, ritual or proximity to holy places or people to produce specific results. Examples of these items include prayer beads or a rosary.
This group of symbols helps us connect with energy and harness its power.
The symbol itself does not possess any power of its own, but is used to access power.
Most of the symbols used in Reiki are Kanji (written words that have symbolic meaning).
Reiki symbols could be considered part of the first and third groups. Because they have been used for so long by so many individuals with a similar intent, the act of drawing them can evoke certain levels of consciousness as well as facilitate a connection with subtle aspects of Reiki energy.
Symbols do not have power, but the intention behind them does.
You will be able to notice that each symbol feels a little different from the other when you draw them. This is the difference in frequency. You will find that there are many different ways to draw a particular Reiki symbol, but they are all equally effective in connecting with Reiki. Here it is good to connect with the intention and purpose of the symbol not with the theme if you draw clockwise or counterclockwise.
Reiki symbols represent aspects of healing and enlightenment. When someone who has received Reiki attunements visualizes, draws, or chants the name of any of the symbols, it can help them connect with the Reiki energy and activate the specific function and intention that the symbol represents.
Placing more emphasis on symbols and hand positions helped students connect with Reiki as they developed their ability to sense energy in recipients.
When and how can reiki be performed?
There are times from the point of view of the time zone, for example, when reiki cannot be performed right when we need it. In this case, the practitioner can carry out the session with the intention that at the time set with the client he/she will discharge, draw that energy towards him/her.
For example, in the case of an operation, a business meeting, an interview, an exam or you are during a wedding or birth and you do not think about reiki energy. The intention will be to help the recipient's body/mind prepare for these important events.
Reiki can also be performed with the intention of balancing past events and can help the recipient process the emotions and limiting beliefs related to this event so that any physical imbalance related to it is removed.
Reiki can also help you if, for example, you received a soul realignment session in Akasha and you understood that from previous lives you already have some behavioral traits, attitudes,
fears, diseases and beliefs of our parents, ancestors, religions and memories. These can cause imbalances that affect our lives. A person, for example, can
had a crippling fear of fire (my mother's case) from a very young age or another individual may have numerous unexplained symptoms (my case) that will not resolve. In these cases, inherited memory can be the trigger. Let's not confuse information about the genetic code here, where memories are not past life experiences but memories and cellular traits that have been passed down from previous generations, and not necessarily in your bloodline.
Like the color of your eyes and instinctual traits, you also have beliefs and tendencies imprinted in your genetic code (which is not fixed, it can change). And here Reiki can help to balance what is happening between the body and the mind at this moment and the many influences from the past that affect it: physical traits, hereditary transmitted diseases, cultural behavior patterns, inherited religious dogmas or fears, past traumas, major events, disasters and environmental factors from man-made things such as genetically modified food and pollution.
Gassho meditation
* in a seated position put your hands in the mu-shin gassho position (put your hands together as if for prayer with attention to the tips of the fingers, the fingers should be at the height of the eyebrows and the palms at a distance of 8 cm from the nose)
* Concentrate on the place where the two middle fingers meet.
* Let your thoughts fall. As more thoughts arise, look at them as they go
keep your focus on your fingers.
* Recite the 5 Reiki principles, or your version of them, out loud or in your mind.
* If your arms feel uncomfortable, you can slowly lower your hands in your lap.
* Follow the sensations you experience and let them fall too. • When you're done, send the thank you note and close
session. You may find that placing your palms on the ground is an effective way to end the session and ground yourself.
The most used reiki symbols.
