Dark minimal / melodic techno w a lovely vocal slapped on top to make a cool b-side.

Encode took me 5 years to make, the mixdown was a bastard. managed to force the kick drum to sort of work, eventually and get this release out. 4 different studios, 130+ versions with different eq settings, versions with a rumble bass, different notes, different structure etc etc. during that time in 2019/20 the slower, textured melodic techno was doing a thing and now the trends in techno have become so different to this style since then, I don’t hear producers making this style often these days. yet I believe this style is what still is in need when feet are tired at 6am at the club and you want something a bit more chill or when you are building up a vibe to harder styles as a DJ earlier on for sets for techno things, also a vibe.

I started this track in 2013 with an ms-20 for a sound design project, running some sounds through guitar amps/ Roland 303 also that I lost recordings for (digital 303 plugin used in track now) my first time recording outboard stuff into fl studio and has taken me 10 years to get this idea into something releasable and trying to gel in some guitar sounds into my own sounds. Was re visiting project file like once a year for an hour each time. Happy it’s finally out

Also sent demo to rezz for her label ‘hypnovision’, I didn’t expect for her to read my dm but she listened and I was happy she at least thought it was cool, hoping to make more music in this space of Electronic music again soon. 100bpm ish is not something I work at often but always has its own sound to it when I do, nice.
