Sooner or later, all those who spend their lives demanding of themselves, being hard on themselves, reproaching themselves, criticizing themselves... will have to learn to be more fair and gentle with themselves.

However, before they can do this, they will need to understand that this greater fairness and lightness towards themselves will not lead them to carelessness, negligence or self-indulgence - but rather to greater peace with themselves and something closer to their happiness.

Until they understand this unconscious trap they have created for themselves, they will not allow themselves to make this change. And they will continue to suffer - unnecessarily. : .
