A massive coral found throughout the Caribbean, recognized for its large ovular polyps. While susceptible to bleaching, the coral is significantly more tolerant to temperature change than other stony corals.

Giant Barrel Sponge Xestospongia Muta The largest species of sponge found in the Caribbean, the Giant Barrel Sponge can grow up to 6ft in diameter at depths of over 120 meters. Corales de Oportunidad! Mucha gente nos preguntan “que hago si encuentro un coral roto?”🪸. Un coral puede romper naturalmente, con el movimiento de las olas 🌊, o a causa de actividades humanos ⚓️. De todos modos, si encuentras un coral roto, busca un lugar donde el fragmento puede conectarse al arrecife. Un hueco donde no movería y que tiene mucho sol ☀️

Give us a thousand years and we couldn’t create something so complex and beautiful! And yet in fewer than 100, we have see so much of it destroyed and killed. Directly and indirectly, our actions are responsible for the disappearance of half of all reefs! Only by caring and sharing can we invoke change and stop the loss of this beautiful ecosystem.
