ANOTHER ONE FROM THE VAULT

2012 was a year when songs found me instead of the other way around. Inspiration didn’t knock — it rushed in, unannounced, often in the most unlikely places. I’d sit down and the words would spill out in minutes, as if they had been waiting patiently to be heard. Writing felt easy then, maybe because the pain was honest and abundant, and music was the only language that could hold it.

I still see it clearly — a quiet day fishing with a good friend, sitting beneath a bridge, guitars in our hands, singing wildly and unapologetically into the open air. For a moment, we were everything and nothing at once — rock stars in our own small universe, untouched by time or consequence.

I’d go home after moments like that and finish the song in one breath, as though it already existed and I was simply catching up to it. Another friend would later bring it to life on guitar so we could record it, sealing those memories in sound.

Listening to it now feels like opening a time capsule. It’s tender. It’s raw. It’s deeply satisfying. I hope when you hear it, you feel a piece of that moment too. Let me know what it stirs in you.
