WitnessIt
After leaving my previous project (WitnessIt), I’m now building a new application called Happenings.
It’s a live, location-based map of what’s happening around you – starting from Gdańsk and expanding globally.
I’m looking only for serious testers who:
– like early products
– can give honest, structured feedback
If that sounds like you, write to me privately.
There will be a name renaming soon with new information about Happening.
WitnessIt remains in controlled internal observation.
The system is intentionally constrained, with limited visibility by design.
No public access, no activation, and no changes being introduced.
This stage is about observing interpretation, not output.
🚧 Behind the scenes at WitnessIt
This week, we completed an important internal milestone.
Our focus has been on work that rarely gets attention publicly:
building the foundations for trust, safety, and responsibility before anything becomes visible.
No shortcuts. No rush.
Before features come safeguards.
Before visibility comes structure.
WitnessIt is being built carefully and intentionally, with respect for the real-world impact of information.
More when it’s ready 🧭
WitnessIt — behind the scenes
Recent internal work has focused on observation, not development.
A private participant reviewed the system as it currently exists, with limited visibility by design. No fixes were applied, and no changes followed. The goal was simply to understand how the system reads when it is quiet.
This stage is about safety and restraint, not completeness. WitnessIt is designed to move slowly and intentionally.
WitnessIt — system update
We completed a core reliability step: a stricter way to accept and store internal signal records.
In practice, this means:
Incoming data must match a defined structure
Invalid inputs are rejected
Unexpected fields are not accepted
Internal changes are traceable and auditable
This work is intentionally quiet. It reduces ambiguity and prevents noise from entering the system later.
WitnessIt is being built as an instrument: cautious by design, with clear boundaries.
WitnessIt
We’ve clarified the direction and identity of the product.
WitnessIt is designed as a map of observations — focused on evidence tied to place, rather than news, narratives, or alerts. The name reflects that purpose: witnessing what is observed in the world, where it happens, without urgency or instruction.
Some observations may later be reviewed using location, supporting evidence, and independent confirmation. This process is intentional and measured, and does not claim authority or completeness.
From a technical perspective, the system architecture is now in place and locked. It is capable of receiving controlled inputs, while remaining intentionally limited in scope.
WitnessIt is being built to be calm, precise, and serious — a tool for understanding situations, not reacting to them.
What exists now / What opens later
This pinned post explains the current status of NewsGlobe in Gdańsk and what to expect as we build.
What exists now (Phase 2: UI & Submission)
• The NewsGlobe page is live as our official Build Log.
• The map interface is being wired and tested for Gdańsk.
• The data model (locations, reports, media) is in place.
• The trust and verification logic is being finalized to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• We are documenting decisions openly as the system is engineered.
At this stage, NewsGlobe is not yet open for public use. There is no public URL access to the app.
⸻
What opens later (Launch Phases)
• Verified map access for Gdańsk residents
• Controlled report submission, starting with early contributors
• Clear verification layers on every signal shown on the map
• Expanded visibility as the grid reaches sufficient local density
Each phase opens only when the underlying systems are ready.
⸻
Why we are building in public
NewsGlobe is designed as a situational awareness instrument, not a social feed.
By building in public, we ensure that when the platform goes live, the community already understands how signals are collected, verified, and displayed.
Trust is engineered before scale.

How to follow along
Follow this page to track the build process, architectural decisions, and launch readiness for Gdańsk.
Updates will focus on infrastructure, not promotion.
NewsGlobe activates its official Build Log for Gdańsk.
This page is now the live window into how NewsGlobe is being engineered for Gdańsk.
We are currently wiring the map interface and finalizing the trust and verification logic that governs how local signals appear on the grid.
Rather than launching behind closed doors, we are documenting the process openly—design decisions, constraints, and safeguards included.
When the platform opens, the community will already understand the infrastructure behind every signal.
Transparency Statement
We are building in public so that situational awareness in Gdańsk is grounded in clear methodology, not opaque feeds.
