e Land Acquisition Collector (LAC) to take
care of the land acquisition and resettlement activities.
. The DISCO LAC, along with field Patwaris, in addition to implementation of the LARP
activities, will provide in-field assistance to the Resettlement Experts of ESIC and PIC in
updating, revision and internal monitoring of the LARPs. He normally works as an
independent entity, but in case of local needs like price updating, grievance redress, etc., may
involve the local Union Councils and other leaders at the local levels, and/or the District LACs
and Province Board of Revenue for addressing broader level matters and resolving
permanent Land Acquisition issues (not applicable to this Subproject). He will be provided
technical assistance by the Resettlement Experts included in both ESIC and PIC teams.
