Search for Justice convened a one-day workshop in Lahore with civil society actors and young human rights defenders to explore how National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) can be engaged more effectively for accountability and protection.
A key outcome was a call for a Campus-Based Human Rights Ambassador Programme to help young people better understand their rights and engage with institutions.
Participants also emphasized the need for continued collaboration and practical action to strengthen engagement beyond the workshop.
Special thanks to Dr. Atta ul Mustafa and Mr. Ghulam Abbas Sipra for their facilitation and valuable insights.

A step forward—but not the finish line.
The new child marriage law in Punjab is a critical development, but without effective implementation and accountability, it risks becoming another missed opportunity.
