I am not much of a drama addict but sometimes curiosity majboor ker deti hai to follow a few episodes.
So it was "meri zindagi hai tu" on GEO TV - Har Pal Geo where first time i saw a su***de taking place.

A character too ashamed to accept her fault chose to end her life instead of accepting it and reforming it..
Since then every now and then i see dramas where vamps chose su***de .

bhai if you were once mean your only option is to kill yourself?

Then recently there was a drama " tarap" on Hum tv where daadi of the protagonist offered her poisoned milk as she was kidnapped and brought shame to the family.

Matlab kuchh bhi?

Why cant our celebrities uphold some values and stand by them?

Why every other beautiful girl is presented waiting for a prince in shining armour only to be humiliated at the hands of his family and him and expected to shed rivers of tears with an aaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaa (dukhi melody) in the background.

After a few episodes of utter humiliation and chup ka roza she is given the status of a n ideal bahu, beti or maan.

Why is this humiliation set as a benchmark for earning some credits?

These actresses and especially HUM TV wali khawateen please did you all go through this to be where you are today?

Ok lets accept your argument that art is depiction of life but yar we are living that life.

Give us an inspiration.

We want characters who take no s**t in the first episode not those who dont learn but earn respect in the last episode.
