In a fast-paced agency environment, we are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Content Editor to handle our content publishing needs. You will collaborate with a writing team to create and curate interesting and engaging content for our clients.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise a team of writers and coordinate with freelance contributors.
• Proofread and edit spelling, grammar and syntax.
• Ensure that content meets the company or client's needs, and follows our in-house style guide.
• Organize, modify and update existing content.
• Verify content and information.
• Collaborate with co-workers and come up with fresh, creative content ideas, keeping our audience in mind.
• Manage a busy workload according to deadline.
• Knowledge of SEO and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English or related field.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Writing, copy editing, and proofreading experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proficient in desktop publishing software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Social Media platforms.
The Web Content Editor will be part of our creative team and will assist with the production of web content for our various clients.
Your primary tasks include:
• Editing content for publication on blogs, websites, and social media sites. Content includes website copy, social media captions and blog posts.
• Reporting to your senior editor.
• Creating creative titles for blog posts.
• Managing a team of writers.
Experience:
1 year or more
