Medtech in conversation with Dr.Akbar Waljee:

MedTech members and founder Manzar Abbasa met Dr. Waljee who’s a Gastroenterologist at the University of Michigan and discussed his work in tailoring treatment to a specific individual patient with the help of AI helping to enable physicians in their decision-making. The students discussed their ideas on how AI can be integrated into healthcare and the everlasting dilemma that will doctors be replaced by AI or not? Our team also took him on a campus tour to showcase some of the latest medical technologies being implemented at AKU. Dr. Waljee was very impressed with the enthusiasm demonstrated by the students and expressed his optimism for the future of MedTech.
