KARACHI: The mayoral elections scheduled for June 15 (Thursday) will see JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman and PPP’s Murtaza Wahab square off against each other In this connection, the JI on Sunday took out the ‘Save Karachi March’ as part of a countrywide protest against attempts to manipulate the mayoral election in Karachi by the PPP. The JI warned the Sindh government that Karachiites would not compromise on their mandate so the regime needed to mend its ways. Tens of thousands of Karachiites took to Sharah-e-Quaideen in protest against the “fascist tactics by the PPP to bulldoze the mandate of the citizens” as the ruling regime in Sindh resorted to arresting elected chairmen of union councils, belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. “The crackdown in Karachi was moved from May 9 mayhem to the elected chairmen under political motives after the party (PTI) announced unconditional support for Rehman in the mayoral elections,” a statement issued by the JI said. A large number of political and social activists, social media influencers, JI workers, and people belonging to all walks of life joined the march. Participants, carrying placards and banners, chanted slogans against the PPP’s “fascist design” to capture the mega city. Rehman in his address said that after the PPP realized its imminent humiliation in the local government elections in the mega-city, it was trying its level best to avoid holding the polls.

The latest gala for the FIFA's The Best awards ceremony, in its seventh year, takes place in Paris and sees big names like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema, Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski and Kevin De Bruyne in the mix for the main prize.
But it seems as though the winner for the 2022 edition has already been decided, with journalist Francesc Aguilar reporting that Messi will collect the gong.
He claims that Messi's win will send a message to France Football and L'Equipe, after the Argentine sensation wasn't even nominated for the Ballon d'Or, won for the first time by Karim Benzema.
He wrote: "Lionel Messi is The Best. On Monday, FIFA will remind L'Equipe and France Football that they did not include Leo among the candidates for the Ballon d'Or. To make matters worse, FIFA will hold The Best gala in...Paris!"

In a recent APK (Android Package Kit) teardown, conducted by 9to5Google, it has been revealed that the latest beta version of Gboard - 12.7.05.507749191 - contains lines of code that mention an "Imagen Keyboard." This has sparked speculation about the possible integration of Imagen technology into Gboard, which could offer a whole new level of image creation and sharing capabilities.
For those unfamiliar with Imagen, it is a text-to-image generator that is similar to DALL-E 2, a popular image generator developed by OpenAI. Imagen is capable of creating images based on requests submitted to it. However, in side-to-side comparisons, more people preferred Imagen's results to DALL-E's, according to Google's research.
The inclusion of Imagen technology in Gboard could help people communicate through images. Gboard already offers a range of image-creation tools, including stickers, emojis, and GIFs. However, Imagen's advanced technology could take this to the next level, allowing users to create custom images based on their requests.
Businesses could use Gboard with Imagen technology to create custom images for their branding and marketing campaigns. This would provide a new level of creativity and customization that could help them stand out from the competition. Additionally, this integration could make Gboard an even more powerful tool for social media. The ability to create and share custom images quickly and easily could drive engagement and help users stand out in a crowded social media landscape.
