Digital solutions for complex public health challenges 📱

On 4 February 2026, at PHCON 2026 hosted by Khyber Medical University, Maham Zahid (Research Fellow – QUiT4TB Trial”) presented on an mHealth intervention for smoking cessation among people with tuberculosis.

The presentation highlighted how mobile-based interventions can support quitting smoking in TB patients—an essential step toward improving treatment outcomes. The session engaged researchers, policymakers, and public health students, fostering discussion on integrating digital health into TB control strategies.

Wrapping up an inspiring 3 days at Centre for IMPACT’s ( ) Annual meeting 2025!
Last week, our team from The Initiative joined the annual meeting of the Centre for IMPACT in Hidden Hills Mansehra, three packed days of learning, sharing and building stronger collaborations.

From Fakiha tus Salam presenting her SPiRiT-D poster, to Dr Amina Khan highlighting gender equity and women in leadership within IMPACT… from Ali Kamran showcasing the work of KEDI, to Dr Sheraz Khan sharing his powerful IMPACT case study – every session added a new layer to how we think about research, policy and practice.
