Our Climate Pledge Friendly program helps you to promote products with sustainability certifications to customers.

We know that consumers are looking to shop more sustainably. In a worldwide study, IBM found that 57% of consumers are willing to change their purchasing habits to help reduce negative environmental impact. In addition, consumers who say that the environment is very important to them, would pay a premium of 35%, on average, for sustainable and environmentally responsible brands.

Climate Pledge Friendly makes it easier for customers to discover and shop for more sustainable products. Customers can look for the โ€˜Climate Pledge Friendlyโ€™ badge within shopping results, product pages, and by visiting a dedicated section of our store. Customers can also refine their search to Climate Pledge Friendly products only.

Since we launched the program in 2020, more than 200,000 products have been certified in our stores worldwide, and there are now 30 US certifications included in the program.

As we near the end of 2021, weโ€™d like to thank you for all of the hard work youโ€™ve done to make this year a success and share some positive updates about FBA restock and storage limits.

In the midst of a global pandemic, supply chain challenges, labor shortages, and inflation, you have persevered. Thank you for your determination through these tough times and your commitment to your customers, employees, and local communities.

Sellers like youโ€”most of whom are small and medium-sized businessesโ€”accounted for over half of the sales from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. To further enable your success, weโ€™ve been working to increase our hiring and expand our fulfillment network. These investments allowed for an overall increase in the amount of product you could send in during the holiday season.

In recent weeks, weโ€™ve been able to further increase the restock limits for many sellers and intend to do the same for many more sellers early next year. Weโ€™re also excited to share that effective January 1, 2022, weโ€™ll reduce the Inventory Performance Index (IPI) threshold for FBA storage limits to 400. With this IPI change, less than 10% of sellers will have storage volume limits.
