بہت سے لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ چپورسن دہائیوں پیچھے چلا گیا ہے، مگر ان کمیونٹی کی وابستگی اور قربانی ہمیں یہ احساس دلاتی ہے کہ ہم آگے بڑھ سکتے ہیں، امید کے ساتھ، اتحاد کے ساتھ، سچائی اور ثابت قدمی کے ساتھ۔ یہ لمحہ ہمیں یاد دلاتا ہے کہ چیلنجز ہمیشہ مشکلات کے ساتھ ساتھ مواقع بھی لاتے ہیں۔ ان مواقع کو پہچاننے اور ان سے فائدہ اٹھانے کے لیے ضروری ہے کہ ہم تنقیدی شعور پیدا کریں، جسے فلسفی پاؤلو فریئر "کانشینتائزیشن" یعنی تنقیدی آگہی کہتے ہیں۔ یہ آگہی محض شعور نہیں بلکہ عمل اور غور و فکر کا امتزاج ہے، جسے وہ "پراکسیس" یعنی عملی شعور قرار دیتے ہیں۔ اگر ہم اس تنقیدی شعور کو بروئے کار نہ لائیں تو یہ چیلنجز ہمیں تباہ کر سکتے ہیں۔ لیکن اگر ہم غور و فکر اور عمل کو یکجا کریں تو یہی چیلنجز ہمارے لیے ترقی، اتحاد اور تجدید کے مواقع بن سکتے ہیں
یہ بھی یاد رکھنا ہوگا کہ آفات کے دوران سیاست اکثر اپنا کردار ادا کرتی ہے۔ ایسے وقت میں ہمیں ٹکڑاؤ، اختلافات، نفرت اور ایک دوسرے پر الزام تراشی کو ترک کرنا ہوگا۔ ہمیں اجتماعی آواز کو بلند کرنا ہے، نہ کہ خود کو چھوٹا کر کے غیر ضروری تنازعات میں الجھنا ہے۔ یہ وقت ہمیں یاد دلاتا ہے کہ یہ سانحہ ہماری پوری سماجی، ثقافتی، ذہنی اور ترجیحاتی ڈھانچے کو بدلنے والا ہے۔ اس لیے بہتر ہے کہ ہم دیانت دار، محتاط اور متحد رہیں تاکہ یہ تبدیلی ہماری اجتماعی بھلائی کے لیے ہو، نہ کہ ہمارے زوال کا سبب بنے۔ اگر ہم نے اس صورتحال کو صحیح طریقے سے منظم نہ کیا تو یہ قدرتی آفت انسانی المیے میں بدل سکتی ہے۔
متاثرین کے لیے یہ لمحہ صرف مدد حاصل کرنے کا نہیں بلکہ اس ذمہ داری کو نبھانے کا ہے جو اس کے ساتھ آتی ہے۔ اپنے معاملات میں سچائی اور دیانت داری کو اپنائیں کیونکہ اعتماد کی بنیاد یہی ہے۔ متحد رہیں کیونکہ تقسیم روح کو کمزور کرتی ہے اور بحالی کو موخر کرتی ہے۔ غیر ضروری تنازعات سے بچیں کیونکہ یہ توانائی ضائع کرتے ہیں اور اختلافات کو جنم دیتے ہیں۔ مقامی قیادت اور تنظیموں کے ساتھ ہم آہنگی اور تعاون کریں کیونکہ اجتماعی کوشش ہی حقیقی ترقی کا ذریعہ ہے۔ آپ کی ثابت قدمی کو نظم و ضبط کے ساتھ، آپ کی شکرگزاری کو دیانت داری کے ساتھ اور آپ کی امید کو عمل کے ساتھ جڑنا ہوگا۔ اس سانحے کو تقسیم کا سبب نہیں بلکہ تجدید کا بیج بننے دیں۔
چپورسن کی قیادت کے لیے آپ کا کردار مقدس ہے۔ آپ محض منتظم نہیں بلکہ ایک ایسی برادری کے نگہبان ہیں جو منفرد، مضبوط اور پائیدار ہے۔ عاجزی اور حکمت کے ساتھ قیادت کریں، غرور یا ذاتی مفاد کے ساتھ نہیں۔ تعاون کو فروغ دیں، مقابلہ کو نہیں۔ اتحاد کی علامت بنیں اور عوام کو خوشحالی، اعتماد اور مسرت کی طرف رہنمائی کریں۔ اپنی قوم کی قوتوں اور رویوں کو پہچانیں اور انہیں اجتماعی ثابت قدمی میں ڈھالیں۔ ایسے وقتوں میں قیادت اختیار کا نام نہیں بلکہ خدمت کا نام ہے۔ یہ اس بات کو یقینی بنانے کا نام ہے کہ انسانیت کی وہ روح، جو ہنزہ اور دیگر علاقے کی برادریوں نے دکھائی ہے، چپورسن کے اندر بھی پروان چڑھے اور بڑھتی رہے۔

Chipurson Valley’s Unseen Tremors: A Call for Calm, Courage, and Collective Preparedness

From Kirmin to Zoodkhun, the people of Chipurson Valley have long lived in harmony with the mountains—resilient, resourceful, and deeply rooted in their land. But in recent days, strange underground jolts and unsettling sounds have stirred a quiet unease. In a place where the earth itself feels sacred, such tremors are more than physical,they shake our sense of safety.

Yet in moments like these, panic is not our path. What we need is calm, clarity, and a shared commitment to prepare, not just for today, but for whatever tomorrow may bring.

Chipurson’s isolation is not just geographical—it’s logistical, emotional, and infrastructural. One narrow road connects the valley to the outside world. Winters are unforgiving. In such conditions, a crisis here cannot be met with generic solutions. We need a response that understands our terrain, our people, and our lived reality.

Let’s be honest: our community doesn’t need more blankets. We need systems. We don’t need sympathy. We need strategy. This is the time to activate what we already have—our community institutions, our local wisdom, and our partnerships. The Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH), with its deep experience in mountain safety, must lead this effort, alongside the Aga Khan Health Services, local leadership, and government authorities. We urge them to stand with us—not just in words, but in coordinated action.

One urgent step is clear: all blasting and mining activities by the FWO or any other entity must stop immediately. Until experts can confirm these activities are not linked to the tremors, we cannot afford to gamble with our safety. The mountains are our home, not a resource to be recklessly disturbed.
Our schools must become sanctuaries of safety. Teachers and principals are not just educators,they are anchors of calm. Earthquake drills, evacuation plans, and clear communication must become part of daily life.

Hamid Ali, a remarkable individual who overcame disadvantages and challenges to leave an indelible mark on those around him, tragically departed this world yesterday, leaving behind a legacy of profound humanity and kindness. Though labeled special person, but he exemplified the highest virtues of belonging, joy, hospitality, and selflessness in a world increasingly centered on individuality.

Hamid was a custodian of possessions. His trustworthiness, humility, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life made him a pillar of his community. He never exhibited possessiveness or sought to exploit others, but instead showed unmatched respect and care for family, relatives, and friends. His sense of "Nang o Numus" for those he held dear was exemplary, as was his unwavering commitment to uphold dignity and honor for his family and community.

In his presence, young and old alike found a comforting simplicity that brought them joy and peace. He had the rare ability to make everyone feel welcomed, appreciated, and understood. Hamid's maturity and graciousness in handling household responsibilities, particularly in the absence of elders, was a testament to his deep sense of responsibility and devotion. Whether hosting guests, serving at social gatherings, or being a part of communal events, he embodied the true spirit of service and companionship.

Though his departure was silent and unexpected, the impressions he left resonate deeply in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth and generosity, as well as his ability to foster genuine connections, will remain a source of inspiration for generations to come. Hamid's parents, now mourning the loss of their cherished son, are consoled by the fact that he enriched the lives of so many during his short but impactful journey.
