Before & After – A Tragedy in Ghizer

These heartbreaking pictures show Talidaas and Raushan villages of District Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan — entire villages wiped off the map within moments. 💔

Thanks to the quick warning from local shepherds, many lives were saved as villagers evacuated in time. But their homes, farmlands — their only source of livelihood — are gone. The disaster has also blocked the Ghizer River, affecting Ishkoman and Gupis.

➡️ More than 300 families are now displaced with no food, shelter, clothing, or medical help. Earlier, Khalti and Yaseen villages of Ghizer faced the same devastation.

Young Activists Movement (YAM) has already provided groceries, food, and hygiene kits to 15 families in Hassanabad, Hunza — but the need is far greater now.
