A lot of times, we don't recognize important moments in our life as they happen. We just realize their value when we look back. That's why sometimes, whenever I feel happy or complete, I take a second to pause and memorize the moment. You see, it's not always happy in my head, but there are moments when I feel like I could shine if I wanted to, like when I'm sitting by the sea and watching the sunset, or when I'm on the bus ride home and leaning my head against the glass window, hoping silently that tomorrow's going to be a better day. Those little moments are the rare instances when the storms inside my head are calm, so I know for sure that they'll turn into memories I will hold dearly in my heart. That's why I memorize everything, so when I look back, I'll remember exactly what it felt like to be free, to shine, to live.
