لگتا ہے کہ اک صاحب کردار تمہی ہو
بر حرف ستائش کے بھی حقدار تمہی ہو
اس قوم کی جانب سے کیا فرض کفایه

خوف نڈر صاحب اسرار تمہی ہو
کس شان سے چلتے ہو تم مقتل کی فضا میں،
حیدر کی سناں، سعد کی تلوار تمہی ہو
لرزاں ہے دلیری پہ نیزه یزیدی
اس دور میں شبیر کا انکار تمہی ہو
مشتاق تیرے نام کو تاریخ لکھے گی،
بے بس کے لیے سچے عزادار تمہی ہو۔
