PASSENGER SEAT
Part 1 – “Kuya”

Everyone thought Alex was a guy.

The cap.
The jacket.
The quiet confidence behind the wheel.

As a Grab driver, she heard it all—
“Kuya, kaliwa po.”
“Kuya, bilisan natin.”

She never corrected them.

She was too busy being a breadwinner.
Too busy saving for her IT thesis.
Too busy surviving.

Then one booking changed everything.

Passenger: Liam
Priority: Business Appointment

When he entered the car, he said casually,
“Morning, mate.”

Alex just nodded.

Traffic was brutal. Time was running out.

“If I miss this meeting—” Liam sighed.

“You won’t,” Alex said calmly, taking a sudden turn.

He looked up. Met her eyes in the rearview mirror.Something shifted.

They arrived with five minutes to spare.

As he got out, he smiled awkwardly.
“Thanks, Kuya.”

Alex raised an eyebrow.
“It’s Alex.”

Liam froze.

And just like that…
the ride didn’t end when the door closed.

Masakit man isipin pero sumisikip dibdib ko kapag hindi ako gina-greet ng jowa ko. Ako nga pala si Lou, 23 years old, BS. Two years na kaming in a relationship ng boyfriend ko.
