They started by the name of "Salinlahi Roots" and later changed it to "Cosmic Leaf" and after a year from their recent name change, they dropped the word "Leaf" and changed it to "Rascalz" due to brand name issues. Their members came from different bands and their influences are from different genres. Mac and Gab are from the alternative band "Sinefhelips", Angie is from the post-hardcore band
