𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽

Kilos Kabataang Labas proudly took part in the "Doon Po Sa Amin, Ipinagmamalaki Ko" (DPSA) Audiovisual Content Creation Workshop, held from September 16 to 18, 2024, at the Gusaling Museo. The three-day workshop was led by renowned directors 𝐌𝐫. 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐳, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐞𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐢 𝐈𝐈𝐈, and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐚.

Participants had the chance to hone their storytelling and technical skills in audiovisual content creation, with a focus on showcasing their community’s unique stories and heritage. The workshop provided valuable insights into using multimedia presentations to bring these narratives to life.

The training was both inspiring and empowering, equipping attendees with the tools to further their advocacy for local pride and community identity through creative content.

𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 - 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀: 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 - 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫

On October 3, 2024, the 𝙆𝙞𝙡𝙤𝙨 𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙨 and the 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙣 (𝙎𝙆 of Barangay Labas convened at the Barangay Labas Session Hall to solidify their commitment to youth empowerment through collaborative planning, titled "United for Youth Empowerment: Planning Forward Together," focused on setting strategic directions for youth programs aimed at fostering community development and addressing the pressing challenges faced by the youth.

The forum served as a platform for both organizations to share insights, evaluate current initiatives, and outline future projects that promote leadership and governance, environmental awareness, civic engagement, education and skills development among the youth.

The meeting concluded with both groups agreeing on a coordinated action plan, ensuring that the collective efforts of Kilos Kabataang Labas and the SK are aligned toward the sustainable development of Barangay Labas. This partnership underscores their shared vision of building a more inclusive and proactive youth sector in Barangay Labas.

𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀 had the privilege of attending the first-ever 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻, 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 2024, organized by Kabataan sa Kartilya ng Katipunan (K*K) at the Manila Prince Hotel on September 29, 2024.💛🤍

This pioneering event brought together over 500 youth organizations from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, fostering a space for impactful discussions, networking, and collaboration.

We were especially inspired by the insightful talks delivered by:

• 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙘. 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝙀𝙧𝙞𝙘 𝙉. 𝘼𝙬𝙞, 𝙋𝙝.𝘿., on "The Role of the Youth in Civic Engagement in a Developing Country."

• 𝙈𝙨. 𝙔𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞 𝙆𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙖 𝘾. 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙖, who addressed "The Current State of Mental Health Among Youth and Its Importance in Civic Participation."

• 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙧. 𝙇𝙪𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙜 𝙊. 𝙁𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙣, 𝙀𝙈𝘿𝙍𝘾𝙈, 𝘾𝘽𝙋, who spoke on "The Human Face of Climate Change and Youth's Role in Environmental Sustainability."
