Rabies is fatal. If bitten or scratched by a potentially rabid animal, an immediate action is needed. Go to the nearest Animal Bite Center and Animal Bite Treatment Center for anti-rabies vaccine as soon as possible — only a qualified healthcare professional should assess what type of vaccine to be given to the patient.
