There was a season when making ends meet was incredibly difficult for our family. Bills kept piling up, and we struggled to get by. After finishing his regular job, Papa would drive a tricycle to earn extra income. Mama sold anything she could online just to help provide for us.

Those days weren’t easy, but they reminded us that difficult doesn’t mean impossible.

By God’s grace and provision—through the health He gave us, the talents He entrusted to us, and the opportunities He opened—this trip became possible.

If there’s one thing I hope this vlog, and the ones to come, will leave with you, it’s this: never stop dreaming, never stop persevering, and never lose faith. God sees every sacrifice, every prayer, and every quiet act of faithfulness. In His perfect time, He makes all things beautiful.

It’s been a while. 🙈

I was feeling frustrated because it seemed like my skin wasn’t getting any better. Then I remembered the photos I had taken months ago. Looking back at them completely changed my perspective.

Instead of seeing how far I still have to go, I finally saw how far I’ve already come.

That realization didn’t just change the way I see my skin, it reminded me of how I often approach life. I become frustrated because I’m too focused on the distance between where I am and where I want to be, forgetting to acknowledge the progress I’ve already made.

Looking through those photos brought several lessons to light that I wanted to share.

I’ve tried countless skincare products throughout my life, most of them because a friend recommended them or because they had amazing reviews online. I kept believing that if a product worked for enough strangers, it would surely work for me too. Now I’m left with a collection of half-empty tubes and bottles.

Ironically, some of those products actually did work. The problem wasn’t the products, it was me. As soon as my skin started improving, I stopped using them, assuming the results would last on their own. A few months or sometimes a year later, I would find myself right back where I started.

That’s exactly what happened last year.

It began with just a few bumps, until they eventually spread across my entire face. My first instinct was to find a quick fix. I searched everywhere, watched countless videos, and bought product after product. None of them helped. In fact, most of them only made things worse.

Eventually, I remembered a prescription my dermatologist had given me years before. I dug up the old prescription and bought everything again, convinced it would work because it had worked before.

It didn’t.

Things continued to get worse.

Feeling helpless, I finally went back to a dermatologist. After examining my skin, she prescribed an entirely new regimen. Some of the products were already sitting in my drawer from all my previous experimentation, while others were completely new. But what made the difference wasn’t the individual products—it was following the exact combination that was specifically prescribed for my skin.

Six months later, my skin is still far from perfect.

But it is undeniably healing.

Because I’m naturally impatient, I still catch myself wanting to add whatever new miracle product a “TikTok doctor” claims will erase acne or fade scars overnight. 🙂

But this journey has taught me something much deeper than skincare.

• Not everything that works for someone else will work for you.
We all carry different kinds of wounds, and different wounds require different treatments.

• Don’t stop once you see results.
Healing isn’t just about reaching your goal, it’s also about maintaining it. Stay faithful to the routine that got you there.

• There will always be another shiny new product.
There will always be another trend, another viral recommendation, another promise of faster results. You can spend your life chasing the next miracle, or you can stay committed to what you’ve already proven works for you.

• Seeing a professional is actually cheaper.
“Let me just try this first” isn’t always a harmless mindset. The money I spent experimenting with products I didn’t need easily exceeded the cost of simply seeing a dermatologist. The right treatment comes from the right diagnosis—not from a viral video.

• Just because something worked before doesn’t mean it will work again.
New wounds can look exactly like old wounds, but that doesn’t mean they’re the same. Don’t self-diagnose. Don’t self-medicate.

• Once you’ve been given a treatment plan, trust it.
Don’t interfere. Don’t keep adding extra products. Don’t keep experimenting. Sometimes healing requires doing less, trusting more, and learning to embrace the beauty of waiting.

If you’re in a season of healing, you probably know this isn’t really just about skincare.

Sometimes our faces simply become mirrors of the way we approach life.

We compare instead of remembering. We rush instead of trusting. We chase quick fixes instead of staying faithful to what we know is working.

And sometimes, all it takes is looking back to realize that healing has been happening all along.

I’ve been asking myself lately why I follow God or if I’m truly following Him at all.

In my prayers, I often ask for healing, victory, provision, breakthrough, and restoration. Time and time again, God has shown Himself faithful. He has proven to be the Healer, the Provider, and the gracious Father that many know Him to be.

But recently, I realized,

Even before the struggles I’m facing today, and even before I existed, God had already given me the greatest gift He could ever give.

Of all the things I think I need in life, what I need most is a Savior.

I go to church. I pray. I read the Bible. Yet I know I am far from perfect. I need saving not only from the troubles around me, but most importantly from the battles within me. I need saving from my own thoughts, desires, pride, sin, and shame. I need God to save me from myself.

Before He became my Healer, Provider,
Way Maker, He became my Savior.

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” — Luke 19:10

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8

Following God is not simply about receiving what He can do for me. It’s about knowing Him for who He is. The Lord that Saves.

I always say that I trust God and His timing, and that I surrender everything to Him. Yet there are still moments when impatience creeps in and I look for answers right away. I want to know why, when, and how—now.

Trusting God’s timing doesn’t mean you never feel impatient. Even in Scripture, people who deeply trusted God still asked, “How long, Lord?” They believed, but they also wrestled. They surrendered, but they still waited with tears.

One of the hardest prayers I have learned to pray is this:

“Lord, if it is not Your timing, then don’t change it."

The prayer comes from humility, I am not simply asking God to give me what I want. I am asking Him to protect me from receiving something before I am ready, before others are ready, or before His purpose is complete. It is choosing to trust that His wisdom is greater than my desires and that His timing is better than my urgency.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned the hard way in this season, it’s the value of the things we often overlook while chasing so many others.

It’s the morning you always expect to come, yet is never truly guaranteed. It’s a simple breakfast shared with a loved one. It’s the glass of water someone pours for you when you’re too busy tackle the day’s first task. It’s a weekend spent exploring beautiful places instead of focusing on house chores that will still be there when you get home.

Sometimes, in the pursuit of more, we miss opportunities to sit still, enjoy the present, and be grateful for the things we already have.

Life isn’t always about what’s next. Sometimes it’s about appreciating what’s already here.

Recently, I’ve been dealing with my own thoughts and spiritual battles. By God’s strength and grace, I’ve been able to work on both today.

If you’re in the process of healing and find yourself going back and forth with the same feelings, wanting to give up, or feeling like you’re back at square one thinking all the progress you’ve made was for nothing and that you’re all alone, you’re not.

You can cry. You can shout. You can pour your heart out. But don’t forget that you can also kneel.

God is with you through every setback, every tear, every question, and every step forward. Even when you can’t see it, He’s working.
Let's keep going 😊🫂

I had a fellowship with one of our church mentors. One of the things we talked about was our prayers during struggles and trials. We both shared our desire to rejoice and remain useful in our seasons of waiting and healing.

The next day, during our weekly BST, the topic discussed was: “How do you worship when you don’t feel like worshipping?” with the subtitle, “It’s easy to praise God when everything is fine, but how are you when everything is not?”

In my case, I didn’t worship God when I had everything. In fact, I turned away from Him. It was deliberate, a daily choice. I stopped praying and no longer acknowledged His presence in my life.

When everything was taken away, that’s when I remembered who owns everything in this world, including my life. In the eyes of many, I may have no reason to praise Him. But as far as God is concerned, I have a million reasons. For all that He is and for all that He has already done.

I may not know what the future holds, but I know the one who holds it.

How does a jobless woman live?

I want to be useful in my waiting season. I don’t want my circumstances to define the way I live. I know this will take a lot of strength, probably more than I have so I pray to God for strength twice every day.

My strength will always have limitations, both physical and emotional. Everything I’m able to do beyond my own capacity is an extension of God’s grace, an answer to my prayers.

I still have joy in the midst of chaos.

Habakkuk 3:17–18
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines… yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”

I have peace that makes no sense.

Philippians 4:7
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

I won’t be going under.

Psalm 37:23–24
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.”

I am not held up by my own strength.

Psalm 73:26
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

I put my faith in Jesus. He has never let me down.

Romans 10:11
“Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”

He is faithful through every season.

Deuteronomy 7:9
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations.”

Why would He fail now?

He won’t.

Zephaniah 3:5
“The Lord within her is righteous; He does no wrong. Morning by morning He dispenses His justice, and every new day He does not fail.”

I praise and rejoice not because my situation is perfect, but because my God is.

Everything would be so different if it weren’t for Him.
